ObituariesJohn Louis Fischer Dr. John Louis Fischer was born at home on a cattle ranch near Gotebo, Oklahoma, on land his father and grandfather acquired in 1901 when Indian Territory was opened to European settlement. A believer in access to higher education, John attended Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater, where he met and married Jeanne Moore, who would be his wife for 70 years. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison after serving in the European theater in World War II. Dale Colyer Dr. Dale Keith Colyer, 85, Professor Emeritus of Resource Economics and Management at West Virginia University passed away December 15, 2017 in St. Louis, Missouri. Dale was born in Albion, IL, on December 22, 1931, the son of the late Wallace C. Colyer and the late Louella (Walker) Colyer.
