2018 Deadlines

The deadline to submit Selected Presentation and Organized Symposia abstracts was last month, and we would like to thank everyone who participated! We had a record number of submissions, which are currently being reviewed by our diligent team of reviewers and topic leaders. Decisions will be made at the end of the month, and all authors will be notified in March. As a reminder, all presenters must register for the Annual Meeting and be a 2018 AAEA member by May 23, 2018. Also, if you are accepted as a Selected Presentation, you have until May 23, 2018 to submit your full paper and/or poster. For more details, please visit the links below:

Award Nominations

In addition to the May 23^rd deadline, we have a very important deadline coming up this week! All award nominations are due Thursday, February 8. To learn more about each individual award and how to submit your nomination, please visit the 2018 AAEA Annual Meeting Awards page. While you are there, be sure to check out the 2018 Fellows Class!

2018 Registration

Registration for the 2018 AAEA Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. will open later this month! Look out for an upcoming email notifying you of registration details. All registration information will be updated on our website, but for now, please check out the registration rates to get your planning started! Remember, the earlier you register the more you will save and you can guarantee your spot in a Pre-/Post-conference Workshop or luncheon. All member rates, except for graduate students, will increase by $75 the longer you wait!

Hotel Information

After you register, you can complete your preparation by booking a room under the AAEA room block! This year, the 2018 AAEA Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. will be held at the historic Washington Marriott Wardman Park. To ensure you receive the rate of $199 for single/double rooms, please use our special reservation site. Rooms sell out quickly. Reserve your room early to guarantee a room at the special rate. You can also check out the surrounding area for shops and restaurants to complete your itinerary! A special issue of DC on Demand will be coming out later this year outlining all of the fun things you can do during your visit.

In addition to our D.C. Culture issue, AAEA has much more to share with you! Emails and updates will be coming out about travel grants, plenary speakers, luncheons, receptions, ticketed events, workshops, presentation schedules, and of course, registration.
