Annual Meeting registrants will receive a name badge when they arrive in Austin. Attendees will also have access to all of the concurrent sessions, plenary sessions, the Poster Receptions, Welcome Reception on Sunday night, and the Closing Reception on Tuesday night. Tickets for luncheons and banquets are not included with the registration cost, but can be purchased separately during registration. Tickets for the luncheons, and other special events will not be sold on-site at the meeting.
AAEA is planning for a hybrid 2021 AAEA & WAEA Joint Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas at the JW Marriott. This will not look like a normal AAEA Annual Meeting. So let us start by laying out some key differences.
The virtual part of our program includes live streaming of the Plenary Sessions, Awards & Fellows Recognition Ceremony, and two sessions during each concurrent session time. There will also be some additional virtual sessions offered by Sections.
The advanced registration deadline for the 2021 AAEA Annual Meeting will be July 15, 2021.

Attendees are encouraged to bring spouses, friends, and family to the Annual Meeting. All such attendees must register as guests in order to participate in meeting activities, at the cost of $60 per guest. Children under the age of 16 may attend the meeting for free. Guests include any interested party not professionally in the field of agricultural economics or applied economics, or a related discipline. Registered guests will receive a name badge and are invited to attend the Welcome Reception at no additional charge.
The cost to attend Pre- or Post-conference Workshops and/or Luncheons is not included in the Annual Meeting registration price and requires additional registration fees. You may register for these events while registering for the 2021 AAEA Annual Meeting or by calling (414) 918-3190. The last day to register for these other events is July 15, 2021 or until sold out.
If you are registering only for a Pre- or Post-conference Workshop or would like to add a Workshop or Luncheon after you register, please download the registration form and submit with payment to info@aaea.org or fax the form to the AAEA Business Office (414) 276-3349.
