Brief Description of Topic:
This pre-conference workshop aims to promote new research in the field of agricultural labor economics and to cultivate interest in such research among early career professionals and graduate students. Research in agricultural labor economics is small compared to the broader field of labor economics. Advancing the research within this field is important both because agribusiness employers face unique challenges and because agricultural operations, their workers, and terms of employment offer novel opportunities to glean insights that can contribute to the broader field of labor economics.
