Most of the activities of the GSS currently take place at the AAEA Annual Meeting. GSS co-sponsors the GSS Case Study Competition and the GSS Student Extension Competition along with the AEM and Extension Sections (respectively). Each year at the AAEA annual meeting, GSS arranges a number of track session presentations. Some of the previously discussed topics are: how to survive graduate school, successfully get your first job, how to get published and how graduate school prepares you for a career.
